Overview
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6 may get launched this month of April and so far expectations from both two vehicles have been a lot. And to counter those, this blog is all about!
On the Point
The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6 may get the same expectations as mentioned under:
- Not much change in Exterior styling
The exterior design will not feature any significant change in both two vehicles. Both the two MUVs should get the same ongoing headlamps setup followed by the taillamp setup. The only major change that could happen in the exteriors could be the change in the Alloy wheel design and bumpers (both front and rear).
- Tech loaded Interiors
The major change which can happen in the interiors of both the MUVs is about their infotainment system in which Smartplay Pro+ can be offered in both two which can even get the capabilities of OTA (Over-the-Air) updates and can also feature voice recognition. A similar unit is also seen in the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
- No refreshed engines
The engine options which are currently available in both the two MUVs won’t change at all and both of them can get the same engine options with the same power and torque outputs. Currently, XL6 and Ertiga are offered with a K15B Petrol hybrid engine which is 1.5L in capacity and produces 105PS of power with 138Nm of torque.

- 6-Speed AT transmission on offer
XL6 and Ertiga are offered with a 5-Speed manual and 4-Speed AT gearbox currently but their facelifts 2022 versions can be made available with a 6-Speed Automatic gearbox. This is expected due to its competitors such as the recently launched Kia Carens which is available with a 7-Speed DCT transmission.

- May offer 6-Airbags this time
The major change in both the MUVs is concerned with their safety standards and that’s why Maruti is likely to offer both two with 6-Airbags on their top-of-the-line variant. This decision has also been made based on new Indian standards on road safety.

Conclusion
Well, both the MUVs are great sellers from Maruti Suzuki India, especially considering the Ertiga which is on 14th number in the list of most sold vehicles in March 2022. Even these small upgrades will bring more customers to Maruti Suzuki.
