Well, Citroen C5 Aircross hasn’t got any success in the Indian market but that doesn’t mean that the french car-maker Citroen is low on its profile. Citroen has a very good approach in the global market, especially for the markets of the U.K. and France.
Moreover, since many car-makers seem very much interested in EVs in India nowadays, this creates opportunities for Citroen motor as well to launch its EV in the Indian Automotive sector.
On the Point
Citroen C4 is powered by a 100kW/150HP of motor which is capable of producing a torque of 260Nm immediately. The motor is assisted by a battery of 50kW which supports the rapid charging method up to 100kW, resulting in a charge time from 0 to 80% in 30 minutes.
This 50kW battery supports a range of 349kms (WLTP) under ideal conditions. Citroen also provides a battery warranty for up to 8years/1,00,000miles for 70% of the battery’s original charge capacity.
In the rapid charging segment 50kW of charging is also supported and can charge the battery from 0-80% in 53 minutes. Followed by the ordinary accelerated charging standards of 22kW, 11kW, 7kW, etc the time range varies accordingly from 4hours to 20hours.
Technology with Exteriors
The overall appeal of the vehicle is just like a hatchback or a mid-size SUV with a modern design approach. The front is lifted high with LED DRLs on the top and the headlamps which happen to be a LED setup are placed below. On to the front bumper, the fog lamps are placed that features a cornering function too.
The sides look really strong and bold of the vehicle with the 18-inch aerodynamics alloy wheels and 156mm of ground clearance.
The rear design will remind you of the Renault Kiger with taillamps consisting of LEDs setup.
Technology with Interiors
The interiors of the e-C4 rest on the Hydraulic cushion suspension system which is further assisted by two hydraulic stops, resulting in a smoother ride. The interior color scheme is available in 6 different colors. In terms of tech stuff, a 10.0-inch infotainment display sits at the center of the dashboard and supports Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivities. This Infotainment panel also shows the different analytics behavior about the vehicle, including the functions of controlling them such as battery charging time, driving behavior, etc.
The Citroen e-C4 also features 20 driving assistant features including the lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control system, autonomous level 2 driving, etc.
Well, Citroen e-C4 will not be available in India right but if it will be then its main competitors will be the MG ZS EV, Nexon EV, etc. The plans for the year 2022 for Citroen India rests with the launch of Citroen C3 which will be a completely India-made-up unit and is scheduled to be launched somewhere between April – July 2022.
