Jeep Meridian which is recently been teased by Jeep motors is expected to be capable of almost everything of an SUV. Meridian has been tested by a drive from Kashmir to Kanyakumari covering more than 5000+ km. Moreover, the SUV has been specially camouflaged during the whole drive in which the images of various activities of different states were placed.
On the Point
It is expected that the new Jeep Meridian will be powered by a 2.0L Turbocharged multijet diesel engine same as the one seen in Compass and many other SUVs too. However, the power and torque outputs will be slightly better than the engine seen in Compass. Above this Meridian is expected to feature a 9-speed automatic gearbox transmission system, combined with 4WD, and may also be aided by a 48V mild-hybrid tech same as the one seen on MG Hector first.
Technology with Exteriors
Talking about the platform, the Jeep Meridian will be based on the same platform used in Compass but will feature a longer wheelbase to fit an extra one more row at the rear to make it a full-sized SUV. On to the tech specs, it may feature a projector LED setup on its front (headlamps) and LEDs at the rear (taillamps).
Meridian will be very much similar to the Jeep Compass just like all the Jeep vehicles but also the style and the stance will be carried from the Jeep Cherokee as well.
Technology with Interiors
On its interiors, Meridian will be full of tons of features starting from the ones seen in Jeep Compass top trim to the new age luxury advancements. It is expected that it may feature a 10.1-inch infotainment system mated with a 10.25-inch instrument cluster panel. Moreover, the front seats will feature ventilated function and electrically adjustable seats for the co-driver side as well.
On to its safety specs, it is expected that it may feature ADAS security solutions along with airbags for each necessary side, automatic braking system, etc.
