Skoda Kodiaq’s Facelift version has been launched a few days ago (January 2022) in India and it is the only full-size SUV that is offered by Skoda motors in India. The new Kodiaq is priced just above the Skoda Superb which happens to be a luxurious sedan.
Technology and interiors
The interiors are really amazing on this vehicle and that is what would you expect at this price point. With dual-tone treatment in black and kinda white sort of 50-50 treatment, Skoda Kodiaq features the best cabin in the segment.
Right at the center, the infotainment system has been placed which includes all the necessary as well as additional features of the vehicle by which you can actually configure your own preferences regarding DCC (Dynamic Chassy control), Steering, Drive modes, etc.
Below the infotainment system, the AC control is placed which is a 3-zone automatic climate control system basically. The central console is also quite awesome with many buttons on board for auto-parking, passenger airbags, etc.
The vehicle is also equipped with wireless as well as a standard 12V charging socket placed right at the central console. The console is also equipped with twin cupholders, key-holders, and a lot more under the sliding front arm-rest.
On to the driver’s side, the seat is 12-way electric adjusted, so as the co-drivers side, but on the driver’s side, it also features 3-memory functions as well. The steering wheel of course features mounted controls both for the audio system and for the instrument cluster.
The instrument cluster happens to be a Virtual cock-pit unit same as the one seen in Audi’s. Almost everything starting from the navigation, vehicle’s data, etc. are included in this Virtual Cockpit system.
The front seats feature ventilation function, as of course and on the roof there sits a panoramic massive sunroof which can be opened 50%.
Coming on to its rear compartment, in the 2nd row the knee room, headroom, and leg space is quite awesome but the under-thigh support could be better. The second row features a 40:20:40 splitting ratio. It also gets individual AC vents and also an armrest with twin cupholders.
On to its third row, well not much legroom, knee room, headroom is there but still, the children can probably make it there.
The boot space is also quite decent and can be increased by reclining the third-row seats, which by the way completely sticks to the floor creating an enhanced boot space on offer. The standard boot size is 150L without the third-rows being reclined.
