From the very first in around September 2019, Hector had created its mark in the automotive market among the SUV segment. MG had launched it, Hector, with Kia’s first Seltos and both, were in great demand at that time. Back then MG also introduced the new facelift version of the MG Hector around January 2021 which was kinda same as the previous one except for some minor changes.
Technology and interiors
On to the interiors, they are so freaking nice the driver’s seat gets 6 ways to adjust power adjusts. The steering gets all the features in itself including the mounted steering control systems, controls for the instrument cluster. Moreover, the instrument cluster features two analog meters for speed and torque and in the center (between the two) there’s a panel that will show you all the information about the vehicle or the information which the infotainment system display.
On to the infotainment display, it’s the sleekest and the biggest one in the segment in my opinion. Moreover, it is well equipped with built-in Artificial intelligence which now also understands Hindi which MG calls Hinglish, and it is also equipped with an e-sim provided by Jio probably which makes it the ‘Internet Inside Car’.
Up on the seats, the front seats get the ventilated cooling feature and are very comfortable indeed. The rear seats are comfortable as well and also get three adjustable headrests for the middle rear passenger as well. The front seat also gets height-adjustable seat belts while the rear passengers get a dedicated AC vent and a USB charging socket along with the flat rear floor. All over the cabin feels very nice and comfortable with a good amount of legroom and headroom on offer. Moreover, with the humungous panoramic sunroof, the cabin is well lit as well.
On to the boot, first and foremost the boot gets an electric lid and the size is really large with the 587L on-paper specs. Moreover, the rear seats feature a 60:40 split which from which the boot space can be further enhanced.
