After its Hector which is a full-sized SUV, MG decided to launch its Gloster which is an oversized one. The Gloster initially launched somewhere around October 2020. The giant SUV packs all the features and all the comforts in its class rivaling the popular SUVs in the segment.
MG Gloster is powered by only one engine which is a 2.0L Turbocharged 4 cylinder diesel unit. However, the only variation is between the turbochargers which are being offered with the engines. The lower two variants get the same diesel engine but with a single turbocharger, making the engine capable of producing a power of 160.77bhp@4000rpm with the torque of 375Nm@1500-2400rpm. While the higher variants are offered with twin turbochargers producing power of 215.01bhp@4000rpm with the torque output of 480Nm@1500-2400rpm.
The engine is mated with the 8-speed automatic gearbox transmission with an efficiency of somewhere around 12.35kmpl. Moreover, Gloster is also available in 4×4 with its 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine.
