Recently BYD motors which is creating a difference in electric buses especially in Karnataka side with it mark as Olectra has launched its first EV MUV segment in India at a pricing of Rs. 29.60 lakhs. The vehicle features some of the top-of-the-line specs from its technology to its design language.
On to its Specs, e6 is packed up with 71.6kWh battery pack which produces around 70kW (94BHP) of power with a torque output of 180Nm. All these specs make the MUV to hit a top speed of 130km/hr with a range of 520km in city conditions and 415km on overall terms.
On its charging, the BYD e6 can be charged with AC and DC adapters, with a claimed charge in 35 mins from 30% to 80%. However, no details has been provided with the AC adapter.
On to its design language, the BYD e6 will remind you of the MG ZS EV with its projector headlamps setup and a small cut between its hood and bumper which is also joining both the headlights, finished in chrome. The side and rear profile looks decent or like the normal MUV’s in the market.
The interiors also feature modern tech equipment’s, with a 10.1-inch rotational touchscreen probably to reduce screen glare like in Mercedes AMG SL. Above from this the MUV is well integrated with smartphone connectivities, 6-way adjustable front seats and with an air filter as well. Moreover, the MUV comes with 580L of bootspace
On to its safety the MUV comes on BYD e-platform which is further equipped with Bosch’s IPB intelligent brake control system, airbags etc.
One of the main highlights which can attract the customers a lot is BYD’s Aftersales service on which the warranty is limited to 3 years or 12.5km. Moreover, 1.50lakh km or 8 years motor warranty for electric vehicles.
