2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee unveiled!!


On September 30, 2021 Jeep unveiled its All time favorite, popular, luxurious SUV the Grand Cherokee.  Jeep officially launched 12 trims of the Jeep Grand Cherokee with 4×2 and 4×4 drive options. Be with this blog to know more features about the new Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Jeep Grand Cherokee is available in 12 trims outside of India namely as Laredo E, Freedom, Laredo X, Limited, 80th anniversary, Limited X, TrailHawk, Overland, high Altitude, Summit, SRT, TrackHawk. The first 10 trims are available in 3.6L V6 motor which produces around 295HP@6400rpm and are also available in 4×2 along with 4×4 wheel drive. The second last trim i.e. SRT is available in 6.4L V8 motor which produces around 475HP@6000rpm. Moreover, this SRT trim is only available in 4×4 wheel drive.

The last one is the TrackHawk trim which features a 6.2L V8 motor and produces the maximum power across all the trim of 707HP@6000rpm. This trim also is available in four wheel drive configuration only.

All the trims are only available with 8-speed automatic options. Moreover, the trims equipped with the 3.6L V8 motor delivers a claimed combined (City & highway) efficiency of around 8-10kmpl. For the SRT trim which is available in only 6.4L V8 motor, have a combined fuel economy of 6.34kmpl as claimed. The last one TrackHawk featuring a 6.2L V8 motor, have a claimed fuel economy of 5.50kmpl.


No doubt with the price and with the powerful engine option Jeep has provided various modern techs as well in the new Grand Cherokee. This time Jeep Grand Cherokee features UVO connect which provides all the information about the vehicle in your phone. Also, it is well integrated with Alexa this time this means that you can turn on your vehicle by just commanding Alexa. Moreover, this time Cherokee features an inbuilt Wifi hotspot system which provides seamless Wifi upto 8 devices on the go.

Technology in terms of performance includes the Launch control system equipped in the TrackHawk and SRT trims which boosts the acceleration on to the straight roads. Also, Quadra-Trac system which aids the 4×4 system which comes as standard in the TrackHawk and SRT trims provides optimal 4×4 capabilities to the Cherokee and can handle massive amount of power and torque as well. Moreover, the U-connect infotainment system also provides the performance pages in the Cherokee to view the fluid or tyre pressure. Also, it helps in to record performance of the vehicle. Talking about one more major highlight this time which is the red Brembo brakes which provides capable braking performance to the Grand Cherokee. The brakes are equipped with 15inch vented front rotors and six piston front brake calipers.

The best thing about the new Grand Cherokee 2021 which is in great hype is its towing capacity, Jeep claims that the new Cherokee can tow upto 3.2tons (7200 pounds) of weight. Moreover, it’s also equipped with the interesting and unmatchable capabilities as well including the traction control system, water fording (Which possesses special sealing preventing water to enter inside and aids the Jeep to make it through 20inches of water loggings.), Maneuverability, Articulation etc.
